How to Save Money on Every Contract Your HOA Signs

An Exclusive HOAleader.com Webinar
With Practical Tips for Condo and HOA Boards

Thursday, August 25, 2016—This Thursday!
2-3 p.m. Eastern

"A billion here, a billion there; pretty soon, you're talking real money."—Former U.S. Sen. Everett Dirksen

It's true that the federal budget dwarfs the budgets of even the largest HOAs in the country. But many HOAs have budgets that rival those of local governments, and the contracts they sign can reach a million or more dollars.

Even for the smallest HOAs, overspending by a few thousand dollars on one contract and a few thousand dollars on another contract can mean that pretty soon, you won't have enough funds to do that common area renovation you've been planning—unless you utter the dreaded "special assessment" words.

But you can avoid these pitfalls when you implement a smart contracting process that your HOA can follow every time you need to hire a service provider. Get ready to tighten your belt and even put more money in your reserves.

Join us for a must-attend webinar on August 25 on how to develop an effective and easy-to-follow contracting process at your HOA.

You'll hear two community association experts with decades of hands-on experience in advising associations share their best advice on:

  • The biggest mistakes HOA boards make when contracting and how those mistakes cost you money
  • Why you should bid out all but the smallest jobs (and what's small when it comes to HOA contracts?)
  • What to know about setting up a contracting calendar to ensure your HOA has time to review and negotiate existing contracts before they automatically renew
  • How to create a template request for proposal that you use each time your HOA needs to solicit bids, including specific provisions to be sure to include
  • Ways to ensure you can compare bids on an apples-to-apples basis
  • Tips to negotiate for better terms or pricing on all contracts
  • Best practices for ensuring you get improved service or a better price even when you're just renewing an existing contract
  • Key contract terms to be sure to double-check (and possibly strike out) before you sign any contract
  • And much more!

It'll take only an hour of your time to ensure your HOA never again spends more than necessary on any contract. Register now for this informative event for community association board members.
